Was Once a Baby Teether

String of 118 buttons. String was purchased from a Dryden, NY antiques dealer who obtained it from a man whose family it had belonged to for several generations. String was purchased February 8, 2006. String contains odd bits of broken jewelry, a metal tomahawk watch key, a small brass box or drawer key, and a small hand-carved basket made from a peach pit. Touch button is– a MOP shell hoop. Many china, colored charm string glass in various patterns, small black rubber, brass and metal waistcoats, two kaleidoscope faceted tops with red black and silver stars, white oval molded milk glass, molded clear glass cone shape, foil under glass in blue and green, black glass, medium black glass with swoosh design, colored glass  diminutives, oval amethyst glass (chipped), several broken buttons, ball buttons with colored dots, pink glass with white cap that looks like snow on a mountain peak, clear glass with paint on reverse, luster glass, one brown shoe button.
