String of 185 buttons strung by Susan Buffum in November 2005, Westfield, MA. Button sources were various estate sales, antique shop, ebay, Brimfield and auction purchases. Touch button is Colonial pearl with pin shank. Buttons of interest– assorted brass botanicals, assorted steels, pewter with flower, white metal, perfume, brass whistle, small brass drum with glass dot, metal with blue jewel, original blue tints, blued steel, brass ‘N’ with crown over it, numerous original red tints, stamped steel, openwork with steels, Golden Age, gilts, two-tone Paris back.
