The metal buttons include pewter, steel, cut and faceted steels, brass, tinted brass (blue and red), tinted steels, multi-materials, metal with glass insets, mother of pearl set in metal, faceted brass ball button, fabric in metal, celluloid in brass, tombac, screen backs. Other buttons scattered along the string are also small, black glass, pressed horn, abalone. There is a large brass button that can be considered the Touch button if the string was not in a loop.
