Buffum collection, inventory# 84



String of approximately 228 vintage and antique buttons purchased April 21, 2015 o from Westfield, MA. String wasoriginally purchased at Brimfield Antiques Show. Buttons are on a thin, beige-colored cotton thread. But5tons consist of Victorian era metal picture buttons mainly botanicals, brass with original red tint botanical flowers growing near a rocky outcropping, small brass heart with flower vine, small black glass, waistcoats with clear red glass inset, green glass with goldstone inset, blue glass, white glass, brown glass with goldstone, small brass clover with cut steel center and twinkle background, gilt buttons, small brass button with white metal flower and cut steels, steel with escutcheon, clear glass with white dot at base, small flat gilt button with Orange Colour back mark, carved vegetable ivory, small stamped horn, small carved MOP with cut steels, embossed dyed horn, small blue, black and purple glass with white enamel stars at center in three clusters alone the string, shoe button, medium Jericho wall, black glass with silver luster, small black glass Deknatel design, black glass with gold luster ball, black glass imitation fabric ball, flat mirror, white metal, brass with fabric background, MOP set in metal (eight different strung in a row), brass pictorial Puck, medium black glass Deknatel, brass lily of the valley, black glass, large black glass Deknatel, black apple with an arrow piercing it, brass bell-shaped button with black glass center, reddish Goodyear domed hard rubber button, embossed dyed black horn, abalone, imitation fabric, large MOP set in brass, series of dyed horn buttons and N.R.
